Fashion brand ck one: aroma filled the neutral tone
Calvin Klein's iconic event book, we remember the first time in 1994 when the brand introduced its groundbreaking unisex perfume, CK One. At that time, the black-and-white ad campaign boldly featured Kate Moss with a fresh, natural look, which not only made her a global fashion icon but also established the image of CK One as simple, sexy, lively, and youthful. This year, Calvin Klein launched the CK One Concept Series, which integrates Calvin Klein Jeans denim, Calvin Klein Underwear, and CK One fragrance, all underlining the brand’s philosophy of self-expression through personal style.

For years, Calvin Klein has remained true to its minimalist aesthetic, encouraging individuals to embrace their unique identities. The brand believes that even the most basic pieces can be styled in countless ways. The first CK One Concept Series was built on this idea. As Kevin Carrigan, the brand’s global art director, stated: “The new CK One Concept Series targets young people aged 18 to 25, offering essential wardrobe staples. While these are basic items, they are designed to help young people express themselves effortlessly. We believe everyone should have their own voice, opinion, and attitude, and this series is created to give them the perfect platform for expression.â€

CK One started as a unique unisex fragrance that broke the boundaries of traditional perfumery. Inspired by this, the entire concept series embraces a neutral aesthetic, with black, white, and gray as the core color palette. Subtle accents of apricot and blue add a touch of contrast, while the designs may appear simple at first glance, they are carefully crafted with attention to materials and tailoring. Soft, comfortable fabrics are used extensively, along with modern proportions that enhance the overall fit.
The denim collection undergoes intricate washing and finishing processes to achieve a worn, vintage look. Tailoring includes relaxed fits such as wide-leg jeans, jumpsuits, and low-rise, slouchy cuts for both men and women. The season also highlights the trend of layering denim on denim. Meanwhile, the underwear line focuses on comfort, using soft cotton and fiber blends, often featuring the brand’s iconic logo subtly placed on shirts and undergarments.

In 2011, the new CK One Concept Series was officially unveiled with a mini fashion show held at The Space art exhibition hall. The event was designed to reflect the brand’s minimalist and clean aesthetic, with the venue fully decorated in white and minimalistic styles. Kevin Carrigan traveled from New York City to personally meet with media representatives. Over ten models, both male and female, showcased the new CK One collection, highlighting a lifestyle that values simplicity and authenticity.
