Our latest collection for this season is finally here, and the second pattern I’m excited to share with you is the Butterfly Blouse + Skirt. I’ve been thinking about adding more mix-and-match pieces for the girls because while they have plenty of adorable dress patterns, they also need some practical sportswear items to complete their wardrobes. This set includes two charming styles that are perfect for spring and summer, with the skirt being particularly versatile for all-year-round wear.
The top has a relaxed A-line silhouette that gives it a breezy, casual vibe. It pairs beautifully with the pleated pull-on skirt, which is designed to suit a variety of occasions and seasons seamlessly.
For the blouse, you have the option of either a sweet flutter sleeve (View A) or a classic cap sleeve (View B). These two versions are showcased by our adorable models.
The blouse features a stylish back keyhole with a button closure and a subtle peplum with front gathers. It’s a timeless design with a modern twist, reminiscent of the Ice Cream Dress and the Roller Skate Dress. Its simplicity lets the fabric truly stand out, making it a standout piece in any wardrobe.
Here's a closer look at the blouse:

The skirt is a straightforward A-line style with front pleats and an elasticized back waist. Construction-wise, it’s incredibly easy and quick to sew, making it a flexible pattern that works just as well for back-to-school as it does for casual summer outings or even formal events. Our young models were reluctant to take their outfits off, which I took as a positive sign!

S always enjoys posing for photos, and it’s much easier to keep her still compared to the younger ones.

When it comes to fabric choices, the blouse works wonderfully with lightweight materials like lawn, voile, rayon, double gauze, and quilting cotton. The skirt, on the other hand, can handle everything from lighter fabrics like double gauze to heavier ones like corduroy or twill. S’s outfit uses silk dupioni, so remember to consider dressier options when making this style. I went with rayon for her blouse, and she absolutely loves how it drapes. It would make a fantastic outfit for a wedding, and I think it’ll pair beautifully with a cardigan in the fall.

I hope you’re as excited about this pattern as I am! Similar to the Parachute pattern we introduced yesterday, this new style will be available in both paper and digital formats and will go on sale in the shop section of our website early next week.
As always, thank you for your support and enthusiasm. If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reach out—I’d love to hear from you!
Cheers to creating beautiful garments together,

Christmas (Christmas) is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, usually celebrated on December 25 every year. The origin of the festival goes back to 336 AD, when the Roman Church began to celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25th. Although the exact date of the birth of Jesus is not specified in the Bible, most Christians celebrate Christmas on this day.12
Christmas was originally meant to commemorate the birth of Jesus, so it is also known as Christmas. This festival gradually became an important tradition of the church after the middle of the 5th century, and spread among the East and West churches. Due to the different calendars used by different denominations, the specific dates and forms of celebration also vary.
During Christmas, many Christian churches hold special services called "Mass" (Mass). On this day, people would go to the church for religious services, exchange gifts, and decorate their homes with Holly, mistletoe, and Christmas trees. Traditional customs such as the Christmas tree and Santa Claus also add a strong festive atmosphere in the festival.
The spread of Christmas is not limited to Europe, its customs also spread to Asia, especially in the middle of the 19th century, Japan, Korea and other countries were influenced by Christmas culture. Now, Christmas has become a public holiday in the Western world and in many other regions, where people celebrate it by exchanging gifts and holding banquets.
